About Book

"One thing my mother never knew, and would disapprove of most of all, was that I watched the Garretts. All the time."

The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, messy, affectionate. And every day from her rooftop perch, Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them . . . until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs up next to her and changes everything.

As the two fall fiercely for each other, stumbling through the awkwardness and awesomeness of first love, Jase's family embraces Samantha - even as she keeps him a secret from her own. Then something unthinkable happens, and the bottom drops out of Samantha's world. She's suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?

A transporting debut about family, friendship, first romance, and how to be true to one person you love without betraying another.

My Thoughts

I picked this book up for a friend for christmas but after reading the blurb again i decided to read it. Im so glad i didnt. i finished it within a few hours and after just sat there a little unsure about how to feel. so now I'm finally going to write what i think.
first off 9 kids, thats a hell of a lot of kids but they made it work, the house was warm and loving. Parents totally in love and the children fed and very happy. Seeing a mother with two not even show half the affection toward her own children was sad and even in the end i dont feel like the mother redeemed herself enough to be likeable.
Samantha and Jase come from totally different worlds and even with only a fence between them dont encounter each other often enough to know the others name by sight. The garrets were the kind of family i would want to be in, there house chaotic and often very messy but filled with laughter with parents who are still deeply in love, the Reeds are stiff with sterile surfaces, the Grace the mother, cleaning as a stress reliever.
Sams older sister is rarely seen and only out to do for herself, Grace the same. The Garrets have each child with big personalities who look out for each other and i feel like sam fit right in.
What i loved most about this book was the fact both Sam and Jase, even being only 17 years old, were mature. There was no real drama, of course there was the climax and i understood why sam handled it the way she did but it was resolved without much fuss and for that Huntley is now right up there in my top 5 favourite authors. Dont get me wrong i love drama but sometimes its refreshing to have young adults act like young adults and not spoilt 3 year old.
George by far was my favourite character, funny, cute and wasn't afraid to say what was on his mind but lets face it! what 4 year old is!!!
This book id say is a light summer read, it wasn't heavy, simple enough to read and didnt leave me a balling puddle on the floor. The cover alone is beautiful enough to draw you in but what lays beneath will leave you wanting more. Thankfully there is A SECOND BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
as you can see I'm very excited and will be preordering shortly.
I can't wait to get to know the hard as nails Alice and slightly messed up Tim a little more. I just hope Tims sister isn't in it because i really dont like her.

Author Spotlight Gerry Barrlett and her Glory St. Claire Book Series

Gerry Bartlett

About the Author

Bartlett figures that vampires are pretty much like everyone else except for the liquid diet.

Eternity or Mexican food? Tough call.

Then there’s the whole problem with sunlight. When would she treasure hunt for her own antiques business on the historic Strand in Galveston ?

Gerry’s a native Texan and lives halfway between Houston and Galveston with her own wonder dog, a Bedlington Terrier named Belle.

When she started writing, she was still teaching and used the pseudonym Lynn McKay. You can probably still find her historical for a penny on-line. Now that she’s no longer in the classroom, she has come out of the closet and uses her real name, much to her mother’s delight and sometimes embarrassment. Author’s note: Sorry, Mom, but, yes, I do have to write "those scenes."
Her antique business on the historic Strand on the island is open again after it went under eight feet of water during Hurricane Ike. When she's not treasure hunting for the store, she loves heading to the Texas capitol of Austin where she imagines her vampire Glory St.Clair of the Real Vampire series has her own antique business and vintage clothing shop.
You can read more about Gerry and her series at gerrybartlett.com and find links to her fan sites there.
She's shown here in her back yard with dog Jet, a whippet. He's her alarm clock and literary muse, keeping her company when she's at the computer.
Gerry loves to hear from readers and you can reach her from her web site or by snail mail at P.O. Box 101, League City, TX 77574-0101.
She previously wrote as Lynn McKay and you might find her Regency historical available on Amazon too.

You can check out Gerry’s website or follow Glory St. Clair's blog at Myspace. Gerry’s birthday is November 21. No, she won't tell the year, but, as a Scorpio, not only does she write "those scenes", but she really enjoys writing them.

When a pregnant demon shows up on her doorstep, Glory knows that everything is about to go to hell. Alesa is claiming that the baby she's carrying is Rafe's, conceived while she was inhabiting Glory's body. A clever trap? Or could it be true?

Booties and bibs are the last thing on Glory's mind when she discovers dark secrets from her own forgotten past. Who is she? What is she? And how will the men in her life deal with the fact that she may be more powerful than she knew? One thing is certain. Glory has way more to worry about than fitting into her favorite pair of jeans..

Real Vampires Know Hips Happen

An attack on Jeremiah Campbell leaves him with amnesia and he doesn't remember her or their centuries together. Glory must win her man back and prove to her nemesis that she's where she's always wanted to be, even if it means dragging Jerry back to Texas.

Jeremiah doesn't remember the woman who claims they've been together so long but he's more than willing to take what she freely offers--her ancient blood and her voluptuous body. But when she tries to get him to travel to the New World in a flying machine and to work with his ancient enemy, he thinks she's cracked. In his mind, he's stuck in 1590. This modern world is almost too much for him. But there's something about this woman with the generous curves... Soon enough he finds himself risking death for her more than once. Who or what seems determined to keep them apart? The ancient warrior in him won't stand for it. And the fight is on.

About Book

New York Times bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon has created a sensation with her sexy stories about the Bureau of American Defense. Now, three novellas about BAD agents are collected in one steamy volume! In the all-new "One BAD Night" the bureau believes that agent Jason Banks has sold them out. Agent Samantha Winslow has never particularly cared for Jason, whom she reluctantly finds attractive, and she volunteers to bring him in. Under orders to infiltrate his rogue mission and kidnap him, she is also trying to pull off the ultimate double-cross. But who would have guessed that Jason would be so pleased to be her captive?

In "BAD to the Bone" Marianne wins the Hideaway Heroine Sweepstakes and a chance to pretend to be the heroine in her favorite romance novel. Whisked away to a remote island, Marianne's daydreams become real when BAD agent Kyle Foster kidnaps her and uncovers her every fantasy.

In "'Captivated' by You" BAD agent Rhea must go undercover as a dominatrix to capture a deadly terrorist. Fortunately, Agent "Ace" Krux, whom she has long desired, is her training partner. Immediately, the roles of master and slave are wonderfully blurred, and Rhea and Ace unleash a wealth of hidden desire.

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed this story found it to be quite funny. I laughed quite a lot at the beginning of the story. The characters were engaging and really like-able .Agent Samantha Winslow antics made this story worth reading she had quick whit and a smart mouth making her engagements with Agent Jason Banks hilarious.

Jason Banks is being pursued by Samantha and the Agency thinking him the traitor. There is more that meets the eye in this story and a conspiracy that will need to be uncovered. Jason a handsome playboy needs to convince Samantha he is innocent but, how to do that when he is tied up and naked ? (LOL) The entire scene of Jason's being tied up and his exchange of words with Samantha is quite engaging and super funny not to be missed.

The two main characters of this story are opposites that attract. They two have been sexually attracted to one another for years and now that have the opportunity to do something about it.Making up for lost time as they say. While a romance develops danger lurks at every turn and they wonder if the will live long enough even to find out what could be.

In Marianne and Kyle Fosters story it was a really entertaining read. Marianne is a romance writer gone on a Holiday to be part of and adventure that she only writes about.Kyle Foster is on this Island also where he is recovering for an injury which he contracted in the line of duty.Kyle's agency rents out part of there island to put on these live adventures for contestants that win.

Kyle is really a loner with his job in all he never finds time for romance until he meets Marianne and decides to make her part of his own adventure taking the acting a step further and only with him.Who doesn't like a dangerous bad boy huh?

What a scorching adventure between the two lovers. The story had a great plot that allowed two people to really get to know one another and slowly and find the love they where only dreaming about. There was tons of romance and intrigue with a twist that the story took keeping you interested and turning the pages. This was a light fun read.Enjoyed this story a lot.

The story between Rhea and Krux was really entertaining. The two are on assignment to go uncover and into the world of Erotica where clients have peculiar tastes. Its Rhea's job to make Krux an submissive and the thought of that alone sent me into the fit of giggles.Krux is a bad -ass to begin with and is surrounded with a dangerous aura all the time and the thought of becoming someones submissive is just to funny.Rhea another agent in the Agency being the Dom. to teach him just that. What a uncomfortable situation but, Krux is going to used this situation to his advantage and get Rhea right where he wants her in his bed !

You got to love this story .The awkwardness between these two colleagues is somewhat funny when you think that they have to go to school to learn there roles they now have to play. You are sensing there attraction between the two and they are now both in the position to act on it but, will they?

This was a fun read making you smile quite often and the teasing that goes on between this couple. They are doing there duty but, you got to love the fact that they have a free pass to act out there fantasies they might have had about one another. And it gives Rhea the upper hand to get a little even with a Krux the womanizer or so she thinks making her actions and antics even more funny.

Overall this stories were really great reads quite entertaining really funny and had intriguing stories lots of adventure and danger to keep you turning the pages just to see what happens next. The characters were a lot of fun hope to see them again in the up an coming stories in the Bad Series...

From the New York Times bestselling author of Peaches comes a magical and bewitching story of the romance between a fearless heroine and the boy who wouldn't grow up.

My Thoughts

All in all I loved this book, it was fantastically written that was dark and twisted and sad. Yet ,I loved how it questioned everything I thought I loved and gave me something new to replace it.This book is now in my top 10 favorite books of all time because it did everything a book is meant to do,I cried laughed and just sat in shock when it was over wishing I could go back and relive it for the first time again. After reading it three times I managed to be able to put it down and recommended to those around me (never could because my friends have different tastes in books) so I give it 5 out of 5 stars.Amazing execution, fantastically written and a flawless group of characters we all love yet giving them a real feeling to them.

In an attempt to get back at everyone who has ever shut her out, seventeen year-old Princess Echo becomes another victim, dragging Ayden, her forbidden love, along in a race to freedom, to find out who she really is, and to put a world that has been swallowed by lies back together again.

In the first installment of The Bleeding Heart Trilogy, life becomes a dangerous game of kill or be killed, love or let go. When death threatens the forbidden love of an unlikely couple and they are forced to do the unthinkable, to what extent will they go to be together?

My Thoughts

I was asked by a friend of mine "Angels With Attitude Book Reviews" if I would be interested in reading a book for an author friend of hers and giving an honest review. First of "HELLO" I love to read so bring it on, I downloaded the book and went right to reading and am I so glad I did and now I sit and wait for book 2 to come out :)

What a great book, I love how she went back and forth between both main characters so throughout the entire book you feel like you are getting the full picture, the full story as both Echo and Ayden are telling the story, not just one character. You get to see and feel what each of them are going through during the story.

I can't imagine growing up as a princess, what a life that must be, but to grow up as a princess and feel like you don't fit in, don't belong, that your life isn't what it should be and you belong somewhere else - I could never imagine until being sucked into this book and through Echo's eyes I could feel how lonely, sad, angry and then for a brief time happy, joyful, the moments of freedom and love.

We all live in a society that daily we see someone struggling, and unless you have been through it yourself can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to be poor, fighting every day to survive. Welcome to Ayden's world. Living in a society that dictates when you can come and go from where you live. When you can come and go into another village that is better off than your own. Having to work endless hours, scratch and claw your way around. Having to humble yourself, be looked down upon and talked down to just to survive. This was Aydens world, between the bullies, his alcoholic worthless father, sick mother almost on death's door at times and two younger siblings hew as practically raising on his own and a good friend Feven who came and went as she pleased but took advantage of Ayden as she saw fit.

Ayden and Echo's lives collide in the palace and Ayden lashes out after getting in trouble thinking she is a spoiled rich brat just like all the other royals. Little does he know how very wrong he is. Echo is drawn immediately into his violet eyes and every day tries to find a way to get to know him, be near him, with him. After bumping into him she beings to realize even more how very different she is from her family.

Echo is being forced into an arranged marriage, the man Noah she is set to marry loves the women and Echo is very aware of his wandering ways. Her mother, father and sisters tell her this is her duty for the good of the kingdom. She loathes Noah, detests being around him and wants nothing more but to get away.

And with Ayden's help she does just that, she gets away. And though their time is brief, she is happy, they are happy, its almost like living in a dream world and having to pinch herself to make sure it is real. Until it all comes crashing in and they are forced to fight one another to the death for their very life.

But tables turn, and she learns she isn't who she has believed she was all her life, events change her, her life and her pending future - and now I wait for book two.

I have never been drawn to a character like I have been to Echo and Ayden their plight is one I look forward to watching grow and I hope they get their happy ending.

About Book

Don’t look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them.

That is Ethan Chase’s unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he’d dare to fall for.

Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister’s world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.

This novel is one of Julie’s books that will have you demanding for the second one as soon as you finish your read.

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed this story ! This has been such a great series.I am glad that Ethan got his own story but, I think this won't be the last we here from him.And a Thank you Netgalley and Harlequin Teen for allowing me to read an Advance Readers Copy of The Lost Prince.

Ethan Chase, Meghan's brother also the Queen of the Iron Fey he is gifted with the ability to see the world of the fey.

Ethan surprised me in this story as I was so surprised at his bitterness toward life and his sister it was almost on the verge of hostel. But, after being kidnapped as a child and brought to the Fey where danger lurks at every corner I guess I am should not be that surprised. And even in the mortal world the creatures can't leave the guy alone but, his resentment and his disrespect toward his sister was another thing altogether.Ethan is labeled a bad boy and has gotten a reputation for being one. But, he really is undeserving if it all ,the mishaps occurring they were caused by the Fey creatures and he was only trying to protect himself.

Ethan is forced to flee to the Iron realm to see the Queen and his sister.Something or someone is making the Fey creatures and other living creatures in the mortal world disappear. When mysterious ghost-like fey start killing exiles and kidnapping half-bloods Ethan reluctantly visits the NeverNever. Ethan needs to find a way to find his friend and let the Queen know what is going on and the danger this new development brings.

Ethan is joined on this journey with a classmate Kenzie.Ethan not meaning to has brought Kenzie with him to the Iron Fey for her safety and his own as something or someone is out to get them.I loved the slow building romance between Ethan and Kenzie in this novel! Ethan who is so used to being alone kept pushing Kenzie away, which at times was infuriating, but Kenzie is so strong and independent that she wouldn't take any of Ethan's crap. I liked that about her, it actually reminded me a lot of Meghan with her relationship with Ash the unseelie Prince of the winter court.

The pages are graced with some of our favorite characters Ash, Meghan and Puck and our favorite cat but, only briefly. We are introduced to a new characters like Kierran who happens to be Ash and Meaghan's son and lets not forget Kenzie and also we encounter the displaced Queen who has made her own little world.

The story was a page turner from beginning to end.Kierran joins with Ethan and Kenzie on there wild adventure. As always there journey is fraught with nothing but danger.Kenzie on the other hand is enjoying her time spent in the NeverNever even with all the danger lurking about. She is very adventurous and wants to learn all she can in her limited time in the Fey.

Ethan and his brooding mood softens a bit to develop a slow and budding romance with Kenzie. She was such a fun character to read about. And as for Kierran Ash and Meghan's son I didn't really get a good reading on him yet whether I am going to like his character or not. I felt that he was a little bit to dangerous (meaning he doesn't look at the consequences of his actions  beforehand just dives right in making him extremely dangerous )Without the thought to others welfare he puts others in danger and may just get them killed. Also I am not so sure he is trust worthy. I just get a bad vibe about him.Who's side is he on away ?You might ask yourself this to after reading this story.

A lot happens in the story while uncovering this plot of the who dun-nit and we learn about a prophecy and what is to come true and who the players are.It makes you very edgy and things are not looking good for the near future.Pretty scary in fact and has you wondering if you all ready know who is the traitor?

I have to say it was and overall engaging story.Had all the things to make a great story a good plot great characters even though I missed the camaraderie of some off the other characters this novel was a bit more serious.I am glad to see new characters gracing the pages.I loved the adventure.I am thinking that we will see more of these characters to come in the future books.I have to say that no matter what Iron Fey novel you pick up it is going to be throughly enjoyable.

A must read ! A recommended read to all ages whether your young or old you won't be disappointed.
